I am a doctor and worked directly with patients with COVID-19 throughout my pregnancy. Interestingly, while working on the red zone in the hospital and clinic with COVID patients, I myself did not get sick, but contracted COVID in a mild form after going on maternity leave. That being said, I want to share information for pregnant women who have had COVID-19. Often, having COVID-19 can cause preeclampsia in pregnant women. I personally encountered this issue as I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia at the end of my pregnancy, which led to induction of labor. Be attentive to yourself, stay healthy.
