Hello super moms, I need urgent clarification on this. I spit up blood from my mouth, and I guess it's from my nose because it happens when I have a stuffy nose that I need to clear through my mouth. Sometimes it's really big and sometimes, small. Is it normal during pregnancy? Thank you.

Hello, I'm experiencing this too. It's called Phlegm. It's a Mucus, thicker than normal due to illness or irritation, coughed up from the respiratory tract. It's common with pregnant women. I didn't experience it during my first and second pregnancy but I'm experiencing it now. I don't know if the blood that comes with it is normal but please ask your doctor when next you go for antenatal. What I normally do is that anything I notice the thick mucus around my throat, I just gargle water in my mouth and it would come out easily.

You're most welcome. Warm water is preferable, to clear the nose and throat easily.
