Hello everyone. My son (4 months old) gets a stuffy nose every 8-10 hours. He wakes up in the morning because of his blocked nose, can't breathe, and screams. What can you recommend?

First and foremost, it is recommended to consult a pediatrician for professional advice and treatment prescription. Your son might have an allergy or a cold, and he may require treatment depending on the cause of his nasal congestion. In addition to this, you can try using natural methods to ease your son's breathing. For example, you can humidify the air in the room, use special humidifiers, or even just place a cup of hot water in the room. It is also beneficial to ventilate the room and avoid contact with allergens if possible. If your son has nasal congestion, you can use special nasal rinses (such as saline solution or seawater) or decongestant nasal drops (but only after consulting with a doctor). Do not use medications without consulting a doctor, especially at such a young age. It is important to consult a specialist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

The younger one had this for about 3 months. We would use drops at night, rinse with water. We got a humidifier and bought a pillow with an angle for spit-ups. It's angled, firm. We aired out the room constantly. Kept the room temperature at 20 degrees. It got much better. In the morning, we still rinsed his little nose. We were sick like that for a long time.

You can spray and rinse with saline solution; we did that for a couple of days, and of course, a humidifier really helps with this.

I definitely use Sinomarin sea water; then, after about 5-10 minutes, you will feel when the mucus softens, and you can suction it out with a nasal aspirator. I make sure to suction before daytime naps, in the evening, and before going out for a walk. Also, I periodically turn off or lower the heating during the day, as dry air dries out the mucous membranes.
