Hello! Can anyone please advise who has experienced this: the first ultrasound screening was normal, but the blood test showed elevated hCG levels, so I was referred to a geneticist. The geneticist sent me for another ultrasound, which turned out perfectly fine, but the blood test indicates a Down syndrome risk of 1:146 ??.

"Is it possible that when you were doing the analysis, you did not follow all the rules? Did you eat, or maybe did the ultrasound and the analysis on different days? What was the term at the time of the analysis?"

Марія , The term was 12 weeks, the last meal was at 10 in the evening, and in the morning at 11 I had an ultrasound followed immediately by tests. ?

Do you have one fetus according to the ultrasound? When it's twins, the hCG level is also higher and that's normal, maybe the second baby is hiding.
