My little one is exactly three ...

Hello! Thank you very much in advance! My little one is exactly three months old, and we have such a problem: there are areas on the baby's head where hair does not grow. We have been taking vitamin D3 for two weeks now, what else should I do? Is this something to worry about?

This is fuzz, not hair. The follicles will start working later, don't worry, it's normal for children.

Do not shave it off; it's just downy hair that will fall out by 6 months. After that, the hair follicles activate and strengthen, and then the hair grows. If you shave it (supposedly for thickness), it can damage the follicles and cause discomfort.

Her head rubs when she lies down, which is why her hair fell out and new hair has not grown yet. Everything will normalize when she spends less time lying on her back.

Alright. My children had thin hair, but after they turned 2, it became thicker. Now the older one is 3, and you wouldn't even say they had thin hair before) and it's exactly the same with my daughter.

Hello! It's important to remember that infants' hair can start growing in different ways, and this can be perfectly normal. However, if you are concerned about the lack of hair growth on your daughter's head, it is advisable to consult a pediatrician or dermatologist for advice. Taking vitamin D3 is a good and important measure for a child's health, but in this case, additional examination and specialist recommendations may be needed. There is no need to panic prematurely, but it is best to get a professional medical opinion for reassurance.
