If he's learned to roll over, everything is fine, he won't suffocate, children have a very strong instinct. Now he'll just keep rolling over like that. Just make sure there are no extra cloths in the crib - blankets, little quilts, etc. It's better to dress him warmer.

I've been dealing with this since he was 5 months old. Initially, I would flip him over once he fell into a deep sleep. Later, I just started to observe; if he buried his nose too deeply into the mattress, he would turn over by himself.

Ours does the same thing, flips over and sleeps. At first, it was also scary, but I watched her, she always turns her head to the side, so everything is fine, don't worry.
