Who's on the forum, please advise. I bought Nutrilon formula. We are 4 months old, and the package says to dilute 180 ml with 6 scoops of formula, but I know she won't eat that much, we don't eat a lot. Can I dilute a smaller amount, for example, 100-120 ml? Just so it doesn't go to waste.

Yes, you can prepare a smaller amount of formula if your baby is satisfied with less food. It's important to monitor the baby's needs and appetite to avoid overfeeding. Try starting with 100-120 ml and gradually increase the amount if the baby begins to show signs of hunger. It's also important to watch the baby's reaction to the new dose of formula to avoid potential digestive issues.

Of course, you can, just reduce the number of spoons. For 120, it will be 4 spoons. And so, the feeding norm tables are averaged; you need to focus on the child's appetite.

You need to dilute it as instructed on the package. Ours also doesn't eat as much as it says on the can. It should be 150, but she eats only 110-120.

Julia , I always make more of the mixture, and then it depends on how much she will eat. Just make sure to keep the proportions right.

Divide 180 ml by 6 spoons, you will get 1 spoon for 30 ml, use this as your reference point.

Our daughter also didn't eat as much as the standards in those charts until she was 5 months old. I just prepared the amount she would eat, and that was it.

At 7 months old, mine only eats 160 [grams/units of food], that's all. I don't force him; he's not skinny and he gets full.
