I am 30 weeks pregnant. Two weeks ago, I had an ultrasound and my cervix was long and closed. Today, a large white clot came out, about the size of a plug, but not jelly-like. Could this be the mucus plug, or could it just be some kind of discharge?

Everything that smears between the fingers is discharge; the plug does not smear.
