Hello girls, I'm writing and I don't even know anymore, my baby is 3 months old, we fully switched to formula around 2 months, and with any formula, my baby has green or dark green stool, like swamp water. His belly is soft and doesn't really bother him much. We are now switching from Nan Triple Comfort to regular Nestogen. I've heard that even iron can turn the stool green (Nan had 15 iron, while Nestogen has 5).

It is possible that your baby simply does not tolerate certain components of the formula well. It is recommended to consult with a pediatrician to determine the cause of the green stool and possibly choose a more suitable formula for your child. Also, pay attention to the baby's reaction to the new formula and monitor their overall condition.

Supermoms, The child is calm, not whining, not throwing tantrums. Previously, we used comfort formula, but the current color of the stool is very concerning.

If you frequently change the formula, then it makes sense. The digestive system doesn't have time to get used to one before a new one is introduced. Greenish stool from the formula can generally be a normal variation. If there are no other symptoms indicating an infection, it would be wise to stick with one formula and allow the digestive system to get accustomed to the new food and adapt.

Анастасия, We don't often change our formula; after Nutrilon, we switched to Nan and now we are eating it normally on schedule.

The fact that the color is like that near the willow is normal.

Often don't change the formula. The child needs to get used to it. I generally prefer formula based on goat's milk.

Julia, Unfortunately, the mixes for goats are very expensive for us.

Анастасия, We have the same issue. A nanny costs a lot... But cow's milk causes the baby to have a lot of gas and rashes. Goat's milk is easier on the stomach and causes fewer rashes. Although not all babies do well on goat's milk either.

This is a normal color.

You need to consult with your pediatrician, and I advise against switching to formula abruptly; do it gradually, ideally over a maximum of 2 weeks, and watch the baby's reaction. I sometimes gave Nestogen and mostly breastfed; the main thing was that the baby had bowel movements, and the color of the stool was light brown or slightly darker.
