Girls, hello. Has anyone else experienced this? I had an ultrasound today at 20-21 weeks (2nd screening) - the cervical length is 34 mm. At 18 weeks, I had an ultrasound and it was 39 mm. Isn't that too quick, a 5 mm shortening in just a couple of weeks? ? This is my third pregnancy. My first child was born at 30-31 weeks, and the cervical length was also 34 mm at the second screening. Then it suddenly shortened without any symptoms. But back then, no one monitored anything for me, so that situation occurred. My second child was born at 40 weeks. At the second ultrasound with my second child, the cervical length was 43 mm. I don't even know if I should start worrying yet or not. I'm thinking of doing another cervicometry in 2-3 weeks. Maybe someone can share their experience.

Hello! I understand that this can be very scary and exciting. I'm not a specialist, but I can share my experience. I had a similar situation during pregnancy - my cervix was shortening over time. I also had cervicometry and regularly visited the doctor for monitoring. It's important to keep track of this process and discuss all questions and concerns with your doctor. I hope everything will be fine for you and your pregnancy will be successful. Take care of yourself and your baby!

Короткая шейка - меньше 25 мм. 25-30 мм - фокус для внимания. После 30 недель она закономерно сокращается в норме. Если была ИЦН ранее, то рекомендуется более тщательный контроль

Hi! I’ve got a story. At the second ultrasound screening it showed a 1.5 cm cervix. They offered a pessary and a bunch of pills. I refused everything. Now I’m 39 weeks. And everything is fine. The main thing is your mindset and not giving in to doctors’ scare tactics. Our body is very wise and knows what and how to do. I didn’t go to the third ultrasound — so they wouldn’t find something else, you know))). Everyone chooses their own path. Just don’t blindly trust doctors. They’ll always load you up with extra pills that aren’t needed at all. Wishing everyone well!
